How to make a montage with One Click Highlight

Turn the best moments from one or multiple long videos into a single short video montage with one prompt.

👀 Availability

One Click Highlight is a premium feature available on paid plans. It uses about 2 credits per minute of source video, and free trial credits do not cover it. The number of source videos, montage length, and output settings can depend on your plan.

Use One Click Highlight to turn the best moments from one or multiple long videos into a single short video, ready to share anywhere.
Instead of watching hours of footage and cutting each moment yourself, upload your source videos and describe what you want to highlight. WayinVideo reviews every video, finds the strongest moments that match your prompt, trims them, and combines them into one montage, a focused first cut you can then polish in the Video Editor.

When to use One Click Highlight

One Click Highlight is best when you have one or more long videos and want one highlight video from them.
Common uses:

  • Birthday, wedding, or celebration recaps from footage recorded by different people

  • Travel or event recaps from different days, locations, or cameras

  • Product demos and campaign highlights for marketing

  • Podcast, interview, or livestream best moments for social platforms

  • Gameplay highlights from long VODs

If you already have finished clips and want to combine them, use Montage instead.

Add your source videos

  1. Open One Click Highlight from the home page or your workspace.

  2. Upload videos from your device, choose files from your library, import from Google Drive, or paste supported video links.

  3. Add all the videos you want in one project. You can include multiple source videos.

Supported link sources include YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter (X), Twitch, Kick, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Zoom, Loom, StreamYard, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Rumble, and Medal.
For upload requirements and file limits, see Supported Upload Sources & Limits.

Describe the highlights you want

After adding your videos, write a prompt that tells WayinVideo what kind of highlights to capture.
Write your prompt in clear, specific language. A good prompt names the subject, action, emotion, topic, or moment type you care about. The clearer the prompt, the closer the result.
If you are not sure what to write, start from a preset:

  • Best Moment

  • Product Highlights

  • Funny Reactions

  • Key Insights

  • Visual Story

Choose output settings

Before creating the highlight video, choose how the result should look and sound:

  • Aspect ratio: portrait, landscape, or square. Pick the ratio of the platform where you plan to post. With Auto Reframe, WayinVideo keeps the main subject in frame as scenes change. For podcasts, interviews, or multi-person videos, choose a reframe layout that keeps two or more speakers visible.

  • Target language: the language of the subtitles and text. One Click Highlight supports 100+ languages.

  • Subtitle style: choose a caption style that matches your content.

  • Hook text: turn on to add a hook at the start of the video.

  • B-roll: turn on to add supporting visuals over the highlight moments.

  • Background music: turn on to add music that fits the video.

Create the highlight video

  1. Review your prompt and output settings.

  2. Start the task.

  3. Wait for the video to be ready. More or longer source videos can take more time and use more credits.

  4. Review the result.

Edit and publish the result

Every One Click Highlight result is fully editable. Open it in the Video Editor to:

  • Rearrange or trim clips

  • Add or restyle subtitles

  • Add B-roll, images, music, sound effects, or transitions

  • Adjust the layout and aspect ratio

  • Change the title, description, tags, and thumbnail

Before publishing, check:

  • The story flows from one moment to the next

  • Important visuals stay in frame

  • Subtitles are readable and match the audio

  • The music does not overpower speech

  • The length fits the platform you plan to post on

To publish, open your project list, find the video under Library > One-Click Highlights, click the three dots (...) on the project card, and select Publish to Social.
