Deep Questions and additional question generation can depend on your plan and the processed video.
Deep Questions helps you move from passively reading a summary to actively thinking about the video.
WayinVideo creates questions that encourage you to explain ideas, connect evidence, compare concepts, and check whether you understood the source.
Open Deep Questions
Open a processed video in Video Note Taker.
Under AI Notes, select Deep Questions.
You will see a set of questions based on the video. Each answer is hidden until you choose to reveal it.
Answer before revealing
Read a question and try to answer it in your own words first.
When you are ready, click Show answer.
This approach is more useful than immediately reading the answer because it helps you retrieve the idea from memory and notice what you have not fully understood.
Click Hide answer if you want to test yourself again later.
Return to the source
An answer can include source references and a Watch in video section with relevant timestamps.
Use these timestamps to:
Check the original explanation
Review the evidence behind the answer
Hear the speaker's exact wording
Resolve ambiguity or missing context
Save the source section for later study
Generated answers should support your review, not replace the source. Verify important claims, quotes, and technical details in the original video.
Generate more questions
Click Generate more questions when you want additional practice.
This can help when:
The video covers several complex topics
You are preparing for an exam or discussion
You want questions beyond the first set
You are using the video for training or onboarding
You want to identify gaps in your understanding
Use Deep Questions with other tools
Use Study Guide or another note template first to understand the main structure.
Then use Deep Questions to test your understanding.
If a question reveals a gap:
Open the referenced timestamp.
Review the matching Transcript or Chapter.
Ask a follow-up question in AI Chat.
Add the insight to your final note.
Export the note to Notion or Obsidian for future review.
