WayinVideo exports videos as MP4. Export quality depends on your plan and the source resolution. If an export fails, gets stuck, or appears to disappear, first identify whether the problem is rendering the result or downloading the completed file.
Start with the status you see
What you see | What it usually means | What to do first |
Failed or an error message | The render, source, project state, or browser session needs attention | Save the exact error and retry once after completing the checks below |
Export completed but no file opened | The result may be in Library or the browser's download location | Check Library > Media > Exported and your browser Downloads |
Only some clips downloaded | A bulk limit, failed item, or browser download permission may have interrupted the batch | Compare the selected clip count with the completed items and retry only missing clips |
The MP4 opens but looks or sounds wrong | The project preview, frame, track, or source needs review | Reopen the project and preview it before exporting again |
If the export fails or stays stuck
Refresh Library or reopen the project and check whether the completed result already exists.
Confirm that the project preview loads and plays from beginning to end.
Confirm that the selected export resolution is included in your plan.
Confirm that the source video is still available and has not expired or been deleted.
Retry the export once.
Avoid starting the same export repeatedly while it is still running. Multiple attempts make it harder to identify the correct result and may create duplicate work.
Find a completed export
Check both locations:
WayinVideo: Open Library > Media > Exported and look for the project or clip.
Your device: Open the folder used by your browser for downloads, usually Downloads unless you selected another location.
If the export appears in Library but not on your device:
Open the exported item and try the download action again.
Check whether your browser blocked multiple or automatic downloads.
Confirm that the browser has permission to save files.
Check whether the file was renamed by the browser because a file with the same name already existed.
If only some clips downloaded
For a bulk export:
Note how many clips you selected.
Check which clips reached a completed state.
Check Library > Media > Exported before starting another batch.
Retry only the missing or failed items.
If the same item fails again, open it separately and export it as a single clip.
Bulk workflow sizes can depend on your plan. See How WayinVideo plans work.
If the exported video has no audio or music
Reopen the project and check:
The source audio plays in the editor preview.
The intended music, voice, or sound-effect track is present.
The track is not muted and its volume is above zero.
The audio starts and ends within the exported timeline.
Play the full preview before exporting again. If the preview has audio but the new MP4 does not, keep both the project name and export time for Support.
If the quality or crop looks wrong
Check | Why it matters |
Selected resolution | Higher resolutions depend on your plan |
Source resolution | Export cannot create true detail that is not present in the source |
Aspect ratio | 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 frame the same source differently |
Reframe preview | Faces, speakers, products, gameplay, or UI may move outside the frame |
Subtitle safe area | Text can cover important visuals or sit too close to the edge |
If the problem is framing rather than rendering, adjust the frame and preview the entire clip before exporting again.
Does WayinVideo add a watermark?
WayinVideo does not add a watermark to exports on any plan. Export resolution and other limits still depend on your plan and source video.
Does exporting use credits?
No. Exporting (that is, downloading the MP4 of a clip or video) does not use credits. Only the AI tools that prepare a clip (clipping, summarizing, editing, and similar tasks) use credits, and those tasks are finished before you can export.
Free plans limit how many times you can export. Each export counts, so avoid clicking again while an export is already running:
Click the export action once.
Check the bottom-right corner of the screen. The download task appears there while the export is in progress.
Do not click again while that task is running. Exports can take a moment, and each extra click exports the same file again and counts as another export on a free plan.
